hello, I have resolved my problem buy the following process 1 'commented' the schooltool entries in sources.list 2 run apt-get update 3 restored the schooltool entries in sources.list 4 run apt-get update 5 run apt-get install schooltool-2009 result: schooltool installed without error
The only change I made was to move the entries for the schooltool to the top of sources.list. May be some misstep along the way. regards On Mon, 30 Nov 2009 17:12:11 +1100 [email protected] wrote: > Hello, > > I have just installed ubuntu karmic server edition to run schooltool. > > I have followed the install instructions at > http://book.schooltool.org/htmlhelp/install.html. > > But I have the same problem as this post > https://lists.launchpad.net/schooltoolers/msg00058.html. > > I am at a lost to know how to force the 'downgrade' of packages to > the required versions. > > > > regards > > John > > _______________________________________________ > Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~schooltoolers > Post to : [email protected] > Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~schooltoolers > More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~schooltoolers Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~schooltoolers More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
