Any descriptions should go in the gstreamer plugin, not in the schroedinger library. I'm not opposed to adding descriptions for stable parameters, but since they're a programming interface and not a user interface, it's not a high priority. Programmers can be expected to read the documentation. Another reason that I would prefer not to add anything but terse descriptions to the GStreamer element is that it's a really bad documentation interface.
