I'm always thinking of my workflow and how to improve it. Some time ago, I
asked if there was a way to split up source video files, send them off to be
encoded to dirac (on different machines) and then piece them back together
seamlessly. After discussing with this list and the developer of some of the
ogg utilities it turned out not to be possible (but supposedly not that
difficult to implement).
So, since I hear talk about improvements to the encoder, I thought I would
ask again just in case. It sure would be nice to split the job of encoding
among a few different machines and get it done quickly.
