It would be very useful to have a diverse set of reference clips in *plain* drc 
format, exercising
as much as possible of the spec along with golden outputs and perhaps a few 
examples of
expected internal state.

OT: I found more bugs in the specification (please see 
http://repo.or.cz/w/dirac-spec-errata.git) and
my "reference decoder" is now working except for a bug on certain L2 frames 
that I'm still chasing.

David, does Schrodinger have something similar to dirac-research's 
dirac_decoder? (That is, a Dirac -> YUV filter).
FFmpeg is a big heavyweight.
