Professor Wiebe Bijker, University of Maastricht "Towards an Indian and an African Manifesto for Science and Technology - or how STS goes global" Thursday, April 8, 2010 12-1pm E51-095 Please join us for a brown-bag lunch (i.e. bring your own) with our colleague Wiebe E. Bijker. In addition to being one of the best-known scholars in our field, he is professor of Technology & Society at the University of Maastricht. He was trained as an engineer in applied physics (Technical University of Delft), studied philosophy (University of Groningen), and holds a PhD in the sociology and history of technology (University of Twente). He is the author of numerous articles and books in STS. Bijker is Director of Studies of the research master MPhil-degree programme Cultures of Arts, Science, and Technology (CAST).
