@Steve: I asked this before but never got a clear answer on this: does
your code support to DISPLAY a complete 960 game? No gameplay, just load
a 960 game into Scid, does your code handle the casteling properly here.
Is it only an issue in gameplay, ie passing to the engine?

@Mike: If you want to work on this (I've absolutely no experience in
960, for me standard chess is still difficult enough) if you want to
work on this issue please consider to open your code to the project.
Forking off is IMHO no real solution you may miss future enhancements,
Scid may miss a long wanted functionality (at least I got numerous
requests about 960, but I'm really the wrong to ask about implementation
I'd have to learn it's rules first... ;) Concerning code quality: try to
keep it clean and get it working decently. Maybe you can join up here
with Steve. I'm very sure that if it is working code and you don't just
create functions called a b c with variables d e f and tons of GOTOs and
calling it all recursively it will make it into the project. This
project lives from people who take up a certain area and give their best
to implement what's necessary. (I'm pretty sure that some will not find
my cc code that nice either. But well, I tried my very best...)

Concerning your question if 960 is a goal of the project: currently
there is no-one doing it but as I said, I got quite some requests for it
and it would be desirable from the users perspective. Just a developer
at this area is lacking. But as Steve said it is not too trivial to add it.
