Right. But as Steve said, ther're already some 150.000 lines
of working code. Give it a factor of 10 in reduction (which
would be quite a bit) you're left with some 15.000 lines of
working code to do.

Yes. It's actually called TODO and lives in the main dir of
your cvs co. It contains a bunch of your suggestions and a
bunch of things colleced over time.

I think if one is really willing to get a new GUI toolkit
for Scid joining ChessX would probably be the best place to
start. Giving ChessX access to si3/si4 files e.g. would
already be a step for this project.
