In a way the $20 / $21 is defined, we could, as far as I understand it, 
use whatever visual representation we see fit. When I some new such 
representations I just looked around the Net to see what might be common 
and consistent. Concerning ++- and -++, if you start out at +-- and --+ 
you'd suspect them to exist but as far as I understand it there is no 
"real value" ($<something>) available to use them. As far as I further 
understand matters here, only the $-nags should be relied upon and only 
those are defined in PGN. (If I'm wrong please correct this.)
