Very useful is IMHO that you can now restrict the games resulting from a given position by a header search. Say you have a base containing games of your opponents. You're analysing a game in preparation to your next encounter, or in my slower world, during game play. The standard question: if I enter that line of play what will most likely his reply and how well does he know the positions that arise. Thus you open that base as tree and restrict it to your opponent with the black pieces by a header search. You open your analysis game and start out. The tree's best games will now continually show you the games of your opponent (and only those!). Gerds changes actually help quite a bit in this kind of research. It was quite hard to accomplish that without it. The points that are open IMHO are that there needs to be some way to tell the user about what filters are active. And I'm not sure if the resulting tree should not also have the ability to refer it's statistics only to your opponents games (effectively turning the tree into a repertoir browser complementing the opening report). cu Alexander ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Protect Your Site and Customers from Malware Attacks Learn about various malware tactics and how to avoid them.
