Is it possible to create an empty .pgn-file outside of scid and export the game into it?

I've got a big game of variations open in a scid window, and I can't save it! For some reason, the scid program won't accept keyboard input (noticed this bug occuring before once in a while and just restarted the program to get the keyboard back... don't want to lose all my analysis though!)... the problem is when I try Tools > Export current game to PGN > Then I get to a save window, but I can't type a filename in the box!

Anyone got a workaround so I can save the file or get the keyboard working again without restarting scid? (By the way, the keyboard works in other programs, just not in scid for some reason...)
