You have hit something that was designed this way. The feature is meant 
to _only_ annotate the opening of the game (in order to save time, in 
particular in conjunction with batch annotation of multiple games). Do 
not enable it if you do not like it.

Selecting neither this option nor the "Use book" thingy will allow the 
engine to analyse the complete game from the start.
