Hello. I got some questions about release files:

1) The files in the books directory are installed by the following line in
the Makefile:
         install -m 666 ./books/*.* $(DESTDIR)$(SHAREDIR)/books/
Mode 666 means that every user can overwrite and delete them. Is there any
reason for this?

2) scid-4.3.tar.bz2 includes these files in the books directory:
size / date / filename
1475664 2011-02-13 19:11:57 varied.bin
         178 2011-02-13 19:11:57 readme.txt
   346736 2011-02-13 19:11:57 gm2600.bin
1487264 2011-02-13 19:11:57 Performance.bin
2494048 2011-02-13 19:11:57 Elo2400.bin

However, on
http://sourceforge.net/projects/scid/files/Scid/Additional%20Files/ there is
a file Books.zip, containing:
3909040 2011-02-13 12:57:38 performance.bin
5854512 2011-02-13 13:09:01 varied.bin
       1775 2011-02-13 13:10:42 readme.txt

How comes there are files with same names, same date, but different sizes?

3) The following files included with scid 4.2 are gone with 4.3. Why?

share/scid/bases/endings.sg4
share/scid/bases/endings.si4
share/scid/bases/endings.sn4
