Hi Detlef, I did not mean to come across so harshly. Being only a user with no powers as such the developers have, I like to think that open source projects can be run as a democracy. I suppose my stance is that of a concerned user that wishes the best outcome for the whole scid community. However, one of the worst things users can do is to sit quietly and witness events about matters that can affect the project they love. Scid is a great program that deserves continuous attention: Developers that care. I'm not sure if you have been following the scid story in the list. The discussion has been taken to a public forum, and therefore allowed scrutiny by anyone that reads these messages. Anyway, scid is in serious danger of being neglected to its very death. The devs have not maintained it for two years. The project admin, Alex, at the time had invited Steve to take over the project, who himself maintains scidvspc, his own fork of scid which is very impressive. Well, Alex got himself extracted from the project, and made Steve and Fulvio admins. This is unfortunate since Fulvio hasn't done anything with scid lately and does not want his contributions (whatever those may be) to be sidelined by Steve. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Everyone hates slow websites.
