I'm not sure i fully understand your question, actually scid do not use
autotools.

the wrong part is "/usr/include/tcl8.5/tcl.h"manually edit the Makefile and
change the line toTCL_INCLUDE = -I/usr/include/tcl8.5

Actually i switched back to debian and i do not have an ubuntu distro at
hand:can someone confirm that with ubuntu a simple "./configure &&
