I'm using Scid 4.6.0 with Windows 7.
I have a database with 310 games (it contains all my nationally rated
OTB games, so to avoid preparation I won't share it here). After I
restore the version from backup, I can open it and view the games and
everything works well. However, when I add new games (import games from
pgn, one game from pgn, or add an empty game) and close the database, I
get the following error when I try to open the database again:

Apparently if I run "Compact database" before closing the database, it
seems to work. However, the order of the games gets messed up, and I'd
like to have them in the order I've played them, so this is not really
an option for me.
I guess one way would be to export the games into PGN and import them to
a new database; how do I make sure that all information is copied?
Another way seems to be to copy the games to a new database directly
using Scid, but it looks like I can't do that for many games
simultaneously but have to do it one by one, am I right?
Any hints on why the error occurs or how to recover are appreciated.
