I followed all the described steps above exactly. After that it still
doesn't work correctly. When trying to start scid I get this error message:

As you suggested I send you the "uffa.txt"-file. By the way, is it
really correct to compile and install the source code without typing
"./configure" first before running "make"? That's what I did because you
described it this way.
