Hello again, The CTRL-X shortcut conflicts with the Cut shortcut of the operating system, at least under Win.
I found this when trying to cut a comment from a game. *** Instead of CTRL-X, I suggest these three changes: (1) CTRL-N for New Game (2) CTRL-SHIFT-E for the Name Editor (3) CTRL-SHIFT-N for New Database New Game is used more commonly than New Database. The Name Editor is not a functionality that is used daily. (I did not use it this year, quite frankly.) More generally, CTRL-SHIFT shortcuts ought to trigger commands that are not of daily use. I can send my menus.tcl and keyboard.tcl files if needed, either as a patch or via a git repository.
