Well Marcin, it looks like you'd like to find a workaround to this limit

For me the problem is not to make it work (it seems not too hard) but 
wether it is desirable or not. Simply consider that changing the length 
encoding of a game from 16 bits to 32 bits will slightly increase base 
sizes (a bit annoying on a pocket PC) and may have some drawbacks (among 
them a compatibility one : someone with Scid 3.6.1 will not be able to 
open a base generated with Scid 3.6.19+).

For now I am concentrated on Scid Pocket, which I tend to use far more 
than the  PC version.
