Hi,

I fetched the *.emd files from Robert Hyatts ftp site; Added this to crafty.rc:

tbpath=... (path to the *.emd files directory)
egtb

When using Crafty from Winboard (or from a command prompt), the
tablebases are clearly used. Great.

>From Scid, on the other hand, the output of this Q endgame
8/4q3/8/6P1/5K2/7Q/k7/8 w - - 0 1
is not found by the tablebase - the cpu is used.
So, it baffles me a bit that it seems Scid is actually able to make
Crafty ignore its own rc file ?!

The command I use within Scid to set up Crafty is just the
path+filename of crafty.exe. No parameters, "." as directory.

Is it possible at all to get Crafty running from within Scid, with
Crafty using tablebases ?

Ejner
