You'd better use the search features for this : to look for Bxc3 will 
not give you transpositions, as it may happen anywhere in the game. I 
don't see much use cases for this.

This is done on purpose. You may want to re-enter the move on purpose 
just to add another variation. Scid is not made to "follow" a game when 
you enter moves. For this you should use left/right pad buttons.
