Hi!
Actually I think Glen is experiencing a problem I fiddled around for quite a
while when I was new to scid. Tough Pascal is right of course I always had the
problem that the "delete variation" item was disabled. In that case you've to
move on to the next or previous half move (depending a bit where you are). If
you locate the pointer correctly you'll see an () show up in the variations
list to delete. I always found the yellow and gray "cursors" in the pgn list a
bit confusing. (No, don't think about changing them, finally I got used to
them ;)

Hi,
simply delete it with the edit -> delete variation menu.

Hello,
I was experimenting with adding variations to one of my games, and somehow, I
added an empty variation that I cannot figure out how to delete. The PGN window
displays two blue parentheses. How do I delete them?
Thanks,
Glen
