This was my guess :-) , because in an other version of tooltip here
http://wiki.tcl.tk/3060 ,  there is some code to handle the Aqua case.
Tooltip code is in tcl/utils/tooltip.tcl file : if a Mac user could look at
it ... as I can hardly fix it given that it works on my platform.
