Hello, Scid does not come up with databases of games. For now, Scid comes with only the tactical exercises. You can find them in \bin\bases.
The easiest way for now is to import PGN gamefiles into newly created Scid database. To do this : 1. Open the gamefile you want (CTRL-O) ; 2. Create a new scid database (CTRL-N) ; 3. Open the Database Switcher (CTRL-D) 4. Drag the games (with your mouse) from the PGN file into the New Scid Database. If that solution suits you, good. If you want a better expedient (say you want to import lots of pgn files), there is the pgnscid utility in your \bin directory. If you have any question, don't hesitate to ask. Hope you'll enjoy Scid, Benoit NB. I am not sure the shortcuts are the same for Linux and Windows. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by the Moblin Your Move Developer's challenge Build the coolest Linux based applications with Moblin SDK & win great prizes Grand prize is a trip for two to an Open Source event anywhere in the world http://moblin-contest.org/redirect.php?banner_id=100&url=/ _______________________________________________ Scid-users mailing list Scid-users@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/scid-users
