Hi, I am preparing v3.6.26 to get into Debian (hopefully get this one into the distro). However Debian is very restrictive with GPL rights. So I removed the following parts of Scid: - Bases directory: because they are copyrighted other then GPL; - Tablebases: no GPL either; - Chess engines: Phalanx and Toga are already part of Debian; - Pocket directory: Irrelevant for Linux, so to much overhead (aka space).
Futhermore it would be nice if all /usr/local directories where variables instead of hard coded. Because Debian (and Ubuntu also I guess) places all games in the /usr/games directory and all /usr/local/* in /usr/*. greetings, Willem -- This message has been scanned for viruses and dangerous content by MailScanner, and is believed to be clean. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by the Moblin Your Move Developer's challenge Build the coolest Linux based applications with Moblin SDK & win great prizes Grand prize is a trip for two to an Open Source event anywhere in the world http://moblin-contest.org/redirect.php?banner_id=100&url=/ _______________________________________________ Scid-users mailing list [email protected] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/scid-users
