Hello,

I am working on the CentriScid database and am getting ready to send
a sample of my work to date. I have found that the most accurate way
to spell-check and clean the .pgn files from the Pitt Archive is the
convert them to scid databases (using pgnscid) and clean them
individually. However, I am now having trouble combining the
databases into one large database. From the directory containing only
the cleaned databases (the .sg3, .si3, and .sn3 files), I entered the
following:

--Begin screen capture--

$ find . -name '*.si3' | sed s/\.si3// | scmerge CentriScid -
Successfully merged 207 files, of 516 games.

--End screen capture--

The resulting CentriScid database contains 516 games (I checked).
There are indeed 207 databases in the directory (total file count is
621 before entering the above command). However, these databases
contain far more than 516 games.

Does anyone have any advice on how best to merge these databases?

Thanks,
Cory
