Ups, sorry :-) >> I've already suggested a solution in a manpage >> (copying the files in ~/.scid), so you don't have to waste your time in >> a backport. > > Could have been that you need a binary for some Tk8.4 only > system. This switch is quite a major one between 3.7 and 3.6.26. Thats > why I'm asking. I successfully build the cvs version on the latest Slackware 12.2, which comes with Tk and Tcl 8.5. Scid is a desktop program, and desktop users often do (or should do) the upgrades. The choice is yours, if you think this is an issue that needs a backport (the workaround is simple, once you know what to do). I tried to apply http://tinyurl.com/86qxze to the 3.6.26 tree, but failed. So, i continue to think this would be a waste of time ;-) Thanks again Marco ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ This SF.net email is sponsored by: SourcForge Community SourceForge wants to tell your story. http://p.sf.net/sfu/sf-spreadtheword _______________________________________________ Scid-users mailing list Scid-users@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/scid-users
