I think we could arrange for some "user contributed" part. One point: do not set the Site-tag for your problems as this one is used to mark solved problems. Pascal: the latter would be an example usecase for "per based defined user-flags". Just as you asked, there're more uses of that kind. (This does not yet refer to indexing them. But I can imagine a user flag u1-u16 and some field within the database where I may assing the text "problem solved" to u1 so Scid shows "problem solved" if u1 is set.) > - auto-annotate games in a base and check the box "Mark > tactical exercises" then use "find best move" menu (it > will scan the base for "****" markers and you have to find > the best continuation). Klearchos, again if you happen to do this and have a good collection... Most likely, a good collection gets a good collection as someone who knows a bit of chess looked over the problems or collected them carefully. > There may be some explanations in the help files or one > has to write some. There is. You may access it from the index at least in T like "training" and you'll find some texts about all those traing functions. I did my very best to come up with enough to understand how to use it. (But I was a bit in a hurry back then...) It is only available in english, however. -- Kind regards, / War is Peace. | Freedom is Slavery. Alexander Wagner | Ignorance is Strength. | | Theory : G.
