May I make this a feature request then, for upcoming releases? Of course, I have a lot of respect for all your efforts to add powerful new features to Scid, for example to make Scid more FICS-compliant, but I already have a good interface that connects me to FICS and I do not need a second one.
I am using Scid mostly for what it was originally meant to be (at least as I understood it): a database application, i. e. a base where I shift chunks of data to and fro, and copying variations is the most basic and most frequent task I am faced with. A "Copy Variation" (and "Paste Variation") menu item with clickable options (like: Include subvariations: yes/no; Include comments: yes/no; Copy xy/all moves of this variation; ...) would be wonderful. -- 2009/7/28, [email protected] <[email protected]>: > > Hello, > > > > is it possible to copy/paste a variation from one game to another? > > In the Edit menu I see only the items Add v., Delete v., Make first v., > > Promote v. and Try v. > > > > At the moment, I copy the whole game to another scidbase, promote the > > variation to main line, strip all other lines and then I can copy the > > line I am interested in.
