Yes, the problem comes up once you exceed 20 games. (Ie. this afternoon ;)

In this case I admit that I prefer to dump it down in PGN, then use vi 
to add the lines and reimport the games. This is much faster than 
GUI-clicking in Scid, especially if you have similar lines. (And 26 
clipboards help a lot here...) I've also a simple perl script at hand 
that allows to add a certain header line to all games in a PGN file. 
Maybe this is of some help? Works something like:

pgnaddtag --in=twic$1.pgn --tag="Source" --val="TWIC $1" > TWIC$1.pgn

Still for referencing printed literature I think it would be great if I 
could just "tag" a game with something like the bibliographic record of 
a journal or book and then just add page and game number in that journal 
to a separate field. (Technically this would mean userdefinable 
authority files within Scid. Surely, this is not trivial.)
