Hello Gerd, I second that - exactly thats the way I used chessbase to prepare for opponents and imo it makes sense to decouple tree window and game filter lists, as you suggested.
On a side note, it would also be cool if there was a way to merge tree games (lets say annotated super gm games) with the one loaded - including annotations - i can only merge the moves, the annotations don't get merged. But maybe I'm just doing this wrong?
