Hi,

Although I a pretty sure I could figure out how to write a perl script (for 
example) to extract the games from mail and create a pgn file, there are 
simpler solutions that should be preferred. 
Most interfaces will allow you to log your games.  Eboard does, xboard does, 
and i think the built in SCID interface will allow you to save them as you 
play. Although I do think the SCID interface needs a little work. 
But still the the question is 'why reinvent the wheel?'
There are simple solutions already available.
