Hello, I'm not sure this is the right place where to post this kind of question. I try :-)
Is it possible to insert an annotation *before* the first move in a variant? It would be useful/nice because it can help in make annotations more readable. To be more clear, I'd like to obtain the following PGN scheme: 1.e4 e5 ( {If the Black tries} 1...Nf6 {the opponent may reply with} 2.e5 ) * but, as far as I know, using the comment editor of the GUI, it is possibile just to have the following one: 1.e4 e5 {If the Black tries} ( 1...Nf6 {the opponent may reply with} 2.e5 ) * I think that in some cases, once "rendered", the first form may result more readable. BTW: the only way I found to insert an annotation between the "(" and the 1st move of the variation is: * copy the current PGN into the clipboard (ctrl+c in the pgn move) * paste it in the textarea of the form the comes out with the Tools->Insert one PGN game (Ctrl+Shift+I) * move/insert the annotation in the right place (in my case between the "(" and the first move of the variation) by editing directly the PGN source Is there (already) a smarter and quicker way to do that from the GUI (commenti editor)? I think it could be a useful feature for a future version (e.g. by right-clicking on a move, in the menu could appear two choices "Add comment before" and "Add comment after" instead of just "Comment editor"). It is just an hint, of course. Thanks in advance.
