I had some difficulties getting Scid to run after compiling it on Yosemite.
Scid would crash immediately after startup without any error log. The solution
was installing the latest ActiveTcl 8.6.2 binary from http://www.tcl.tk
<http://www.tcl.tk/>. Scid started right up afterwards without any issues.
