That's too bad :-/ Well, at least he is alive!
Does anyone know what method he used to keep the file current. Not sure
what my schedule will bring, but I may volunteer to be the maintainer of
the rating.ssp and spelling.ssp files in the near future.

There has been no update to ratings.ssp in more than a year,
at least none that I can see.
I've wrote him a mail a few months ago about a little problem in the
spelling
file, and he answered:

mir.
Translated into English:
I'm sorry, but currently the translation files will not be prepared
from me
anymore.
In Scidb I'm especially missing the update of the photo files, and the
update
of the local player names (UTF-8 player names).
