Janne,
SCID 4.6.0 does not have a Sorting functionality in the Maintenance window
anymore. Perhaps you could simply reorder the games using the new Gamelist
window. By clicking one or two times on the Date line header, a "1" will
appear and your games will be sorted according to the date.
If you'd prefer to have your games "written in" a specific order (which
matters for PGN), it is possible to export all your filtered games or a PGN
file or another SCID database. To export to a PGN file (always a good idea
for backups, wink wink):
- go in the Gamelist window,
- click on the Book icon to toggle the left pan,
- right click on the database icon,
- and choose Export All Filter Games
If you have not restricted your filter with any search criteria (to make
sure, click on the Loupe and the first icon at the left, with a red X on
it), then all the games in your filter are the games included in your
database.

That said, I don't know if exporting to another SCID database will help,
since the games will still appear according to the Gamelist ordering. This
may explay why there's no need for any Sort function in SCID. Fulvio would
need to confirm my intuitive understanding of the question.
Hope that helps,
Benoit
