Dear Scid Users and Developers,

Thank you for your responses and suggestions.

I can confirm that this crash does not occur with Scid vs. PC version
4.21 (using tcl/tk version 8.6.9), and the same version of Stockfish.
(I do, incidentally, prefer Scid for analysis, since Scid vs. PC does
not appear to include search depth in its annotation, as Scid does.)
So far I've only tried Scid version 4.6.4, since that's the version
available in the Debian repositories.  I'll give the linked version a
try and report back.
