I just did something that possibly trashed my database and I don't know how or even if it's possible to fix it.
I found it annoying that SCID insisted on showing me ratings (in parentheses) from other games with the same players when I did not enter ratings in that game's data. I was looking for a setting to turn that feature off. I found my way to the SCID cleaner, where I turned off the setting for "Add Elo Ratings". All the other settings were on except "Compact Database" which had been off. I clicked OK and found that only two of the 124 games in the database show up in the Game List, and those two appear to be deleted. Yet the Database Window still claims that there are 124 games in the database. How do I get them to show up? Are they truly gone, or will some setting make them appear again? Thanks.
