The development of Scidb is very delayed. The first test version, previously announced for summer 2010, will not be released before spring 2011.
Especially the development of the save/replace game dialog was more time-consuming than estimated (more than two months). Many thousand lines of code, and the creation of a site base (city base) with more than 12.000 entries to provide fast input support. The dialog contains multicoloured multi-column comboboxes including icons, a novelty in Tcl/Tk programming (see screenshot <http://scidb.sourceforge.net/screenshots/save-dialog-1.png>). This effort was not foreseeable for me. -- Gregor Cramer
