Yes, it does - thanks!
The are still some windows left where the text is white, at least in the
initial dialogue where I'm asked if I want to restore previous sesssion/games,
and also while shutting down, if I want to save the state of current games.
Perhaps it's just all dialog windows, I don't know.
But the main problem has been solved.
