chess rules 9.6 acc. to "fide" (page 23 in below book) :
If one or both of the following occur(s) then the game is drawn:
a. the same position has appeared, as in 9.2b, for at least five consecutive 
alternate moves by
each player.
b. any consecutive series of 75 moves have been completed by each player 
without the
movement of any pawn and without any capture.

this was referred to in an earlier mail.
Ever after Nigel Short claimed a win after a Romanian guy refused the handshake 
at the beginning of the game, I became wary to FIDE rules ;-)
Dude - how can the same position appear for 5 moves ?say there are 2 kings 
being moved to and fro.Then in 5 half-moves , on half-move 4 you have the same 
pos. (for the first time) as in half-move 0.
But you NEVER get the same pos. EVER  after 1 ... 2  ... 3  half-moves.
This is some funny wording ! I don't get it.
