Yeah, i often do this too. The best solution is Control+c to copy the game to clipbase, then select working base, and Control+v to paste from clipbase. Control+s to save game. These shortcuts are valid for the gamelist and main board. .... I've often pondered about having a "scratch" game on disk, which scidvspc saves as the last game editted, but i'm not quite sure how best to do it.
