First, thank you for a great interface. In the linux world I can't even think of anything that comes close. Haven't used it under Windows, but if the GUI is like the linux version then it will displace my current favorite BabasChess.
Having just sung my praises there's a couple of wish list items I'd like to log: 1. PGN is treated read-only. Not sure why, but this has unfortunate consequences. To strip comments for example one has to import the PGN into a SCID native (and I don't know what this format buys us) db, do the work and then export to PGN. PGN is relatively simple text. Why not operate on it directly and cut out the middle man? 2. Maybe there's a way, but I haven't found how to display engine evaluations during user vs. engine blitz games. Of course the evaluations are visible in a window during analysis mode, but it would be nice to see them during blitz as well. Of course these are "wish list" items so no urgency. I'd offer to pitch in, but I'm not a Tcl/Tk guy. If the project was in a more widely used implementation language like C++, Java, or C# I might have been able to help. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ New Year.
