Hello list

I'm trying to use the correspondence chess features in Scid vs PC. The
documentation says:

'To use these features, a database of the type "Correspondence chess" has
to be opened. If you do not have such a database, or Scid has not created
one for you, just create a new database and set its type to "Correspondence
chess" via the Maintenance
<http://scidvspc.sourceforge.net/doc/Maintenance.htm>.'

If I open the Maintenance window, I don't see any setting for database
type. If I try to retrieve my games from the Xfcc server, the program
complains that "no database of type Correspondence is opened". In Scid this
works well (no such setting appears to be required, even though the
documentation claims so), but I'd prefer Scid vs PC. Is this a known
problem?

I was trying to use scid-vs-pc-4.14 on Ubuntu 12.04, installed from the
source. Otherwise the program works very well indeed.

Many thanks
Ville
