The file linked is in SCIDvsPC format. It is roughly 8.7 million games so nearly double the size.It sucks that you can't virus scan off google drive. My promise that is good is meaningless. Here is a smaller file. It is not my database. It is the latest issue of our club magazine. I sell these on Amazon in print but they are free digitally. If the SCID file is bad at least you can track me down and trash my amazon account if needed. Here is the file. It's AWFULLY large and a bit concerning since it's too large for Google Drive to scan for Viruses.Caissabase isn't that large.Best Regards,Mark Johnson214-606-0553(M)On Thu, Aug 1, 2024 at 8:32 PM kym farnik.com <k...@farnik.com> wrote:
G’day Very much appreciated the work. I have been using CaissaBase but the update cycle is slow. CheeseBase (which i guess is a pun on the name Chessbase!?). I don't have heaps of bandwidth and don't even use big DBs much, so thought to throw it out there. He plans to update it often, and reckons I have updated CaissaBase to the current date and fixed many issues in CaissaBase that I noticed. I also added many of the top players games from lichess and converted their names to their formal name so they would show up in a player search. I also added a lot of correspondence chess and computer vs computer chess. I don't have ChessBase, but I suspect CheeseBase is the largest collection of Magnus Carlsen games in the world available currently with 17,805 games. If you wanted to include a link to my database, called CheeseBase, you can. It is free software. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1vLP1ftIYy7A6HHZuRW4VX_64lV5ZYp3j/view?usp=drive_link I update the above link usually every Monday or Tuesday with games from TWIC / Mark Crowther. The link shouldn't change, I update with a new version when I upload. And off-topic, but i have to link a video of a recent Crunchlabs GM event/rapid... eventful stuff . https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sMBCK9sy9Rs cheers S.A. _______________________________________________ Scidvspc-users mailing list Scidvspc-users@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/scidvspc-users
