Please join us at the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum of the Chicago Academy of Sciences to preview our newest special exhibit 'Hunters of the Sky.' Explore the fascination and conflict that surrounds mankind's relationship to birds of prey: eagles, hawks, falcons, owls, and osprey. In a wind tunnel and flow chambers, experiment with aspects of lift and drag as applied to feathers and wings. Gain a better understanding of where raptors live, what they eat, how they navigate and fly, and discover issues surrounding their conservation and protection. Meet the staff and learn about the programs we can offer in your classroom, online, and at the Museum. On the spot registration for field trips will also be available.
