For those who would like to plan ahead around some upcoming NASA 
solar system exploration mission events, here is a short list for 
2001.  More info available through the mission home pages, accessible

next decade (click on any event for latest info).

Now through March 31:  Cassini/Galileo Jupiter Observations
Now through January:  Ulysses south polar pass
January 15:  Stardust Swings by Earth
February 12:  NEAR descends to asteroid Eros
April 7:  Mars Odyssey launch (from Cape Canaveral)
May 25:  Galileo Callisto Flyby
May 23:  Ulysses 2nd perihelion
May 25:  Ulysses ecliptic crossing
~June 27-July:  Genesis Launch (Cape Canaveral)
September 22: Deep Space 1 at Comet Borrelly
September-December:  Ulysses north polar pass
October 20:  Mars Odyssey arrives at Mars, enters orbit

And of course, Mars Global Surveyor continues to send back great data 
from orbit at Mars.
