School: Noble Street Charter High School is a new public school which opened in Fall 1999 in Chicago. Noble Street has a college prep curriculum and a strong discipline and dress code. Positions open: All high school subjects, including Chemistry. Qualifications: Teacher certification or five years work experience in a field related to the subject matter to be taught. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Spanish language ability is a plus. Enthusiasm and a strong work ethic is a must. Job description: Teachers will teach up to five classes daily and participate in school activities. Teachers will be available for student and parent contact. Teachers will help develop curriculum and its integration with other subjects and the real world. Teachers will work with students in an advisory program, which instructs them in areas of health, fitness, respectful and ethical behavior, and personal responsibility.
