The following message is from Craig Cunningham <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]>. WIT 2001 will be held from June 18 to July 20, 2001. Application materials are available online (at http://cuip.uchicago.edu/wit/application) or on paper. To request a paper application, please email me with your mailing address. WIT 2001 will run five weeks. Wednesdays are an unscheduled "flex" day, or a day off, as participants determine according to their needs. Both morning and afternoon sessions are available. Sections will meet both on campus and downtown at the U of C's Gleacher Center. You are still eligible to participate in WIT 2001 even if you have participated in WIT during previous years. If you have taken WIT twice before, you need to request permission to re-enroll. (You will be asked to show that you have used at least some of what you learned in prior summers.) Some differences from previous WITs: -- the advanced strand will use Macromedia Dreamweaver as their tool; participants will be given a copy and taught how to use it. -- the basic strand will focus on finding and using existing resources, rather than creating original materials -- we will enforce a higher skill level for entrance into the Basic strand. People must have used a computer for word processing, and must be able to use a web browser. -- participants may choose 16 CEUs (for Illinois Recertification) or 3 units of CPS lane credit Former WIT Advanced participants are welcome to take WIT Advanced again.
