DO YOU KNOW AN INNOVATIVE TEACHER?

National Semiconductors Internet Innovator Awards program rewards
teachers
who are pioneering use of the Internet in the classroom to improve
student
learning. The Internet Innovator Awards, offered in partnership with the

21st Century Teachers Network, are given to teachers who have
implemented
Internet-rich curricula that have proven successful in the K-12
classroom.

Winning teachers receive $10,000 in personal awards, and their schools
win
between $15,000 and $20,000 to fund teacher training and development in
the
use and integration of Internet technology in education. In addition to
the
cash award, all of the winning schools receive a Global Connections
training
course valued at $3,500. Fourteen awards will be given in the Fall of
2001.
Completed applications must be submitted through the Awards web site by
Friday, June 22, 2001. Go to www.nsawards.com <http://www.nsawards.com>
