WILDLIFE TRADE TRAINING COURSE

World Wildlife Fund (WWF) and the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service (USFWS) is
offering a training course from July 9-11, 2001 to provide an overview of the
"Suitcase for Survival" program and to introduce participants to WWF's new
"Wildlife For Sale" education module. "Suitcase for Survival" has been
established through a partnership between the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service,
American Zoo & Aquarium Association, and WWF and educates young people and
adults about legal and illegal wildlife trade using wildlife products that
have been seized by FWS inspectors. This hands-on course is designed to train
trainers and will include techniques, current wildlife trade issues, and
integrating wildlife trade and biodiversity into ongoing programs. The course
will be held from July 9-11, 2001 at the USFWS National Conservation Training
Center in Shepherdstown, WV. Tuition for non FWS employees is $450 and
lodging/food is $300 for the three days. Participants are responsible for
their own travel to the training center. Please submit the attached
